Touching Sound (2016)
Touching Sound consists in an experience enabled by a blouse that works as an interface between the wearer, the body instrument or the patient and the healer, the torturer or the player. When metal stickers are pulled they are attracted by a magnet that touches the body while, at the same time, it extracts sound captured by a vibration sensor. Our bodies generate and store memories both pleasureable or unpleasureable. The sound, as a third byproduct, displays the tons and materiality of these memories created by this dual relation.
Technical information - Silicone, acrylic, magnets, metal sticks, copper wire, piezoelectric sensor, arduino board, computer, loudspeakers
Ps.: The blouse in the picture is the first prototype.
